Update: Elderly Woman's Body Found in Healdsburg Motor Home Fire

The identification of the woman, whose body was found today, has not yet been released.

Update 6 p.m. Oct. 31: The body has been determined to be an elderly female, Healdsburg Fire Marshal Linda Collister said.

Sheriff's deputies and firefighters found a body in the charred remains of a motor home fire that burned today in the 2200 block of Westside Road in Healdsburg.

The identity of the victim has not been confirmed at this time. The name of the victim will be released at a later time when positive identification is made.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. The Sheriff's Department Violent Crime Investigtion Unit, along with fire investigators, have been at the scene and are conducting a follow-up investigation.

Sonoma County Sheriff's deputies were called out at approximately 9:20 a.m. today to a fully engulfed house fire in the 2200 block of Westside Road.

Upon deputies' arrival, they found a motor home in flames. The home was being used as a residence on the property, next to the main house on the land.

Several fire agencies arrived and began suppressing the fire. After it was extinguished, a body was located on a bed in the rear of the motor home.
