Flooding Shuts Down Highway 12 South of Sonoma

At least one car has become stuck near intersection with Highway 121.

Heavy rain overnight has caused flooding that shut down state Highway 12 south of Sonoma this morning, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The flooding was reported around 5:30 a.m. on Highway 12 at the intersection with state Highway 121 near Sonoma Creek.

CHP Officer James Evans said a hard closure has been set up in the area until the flooding subsides.

At least one car got stuck in the rising water, Evans said.
