Girl, 2, Airlifted Following Farmers' Market Fall

The child was running behind City Hall when she collided with another child, fell and lost consciousness.

 

UPDATED: A 2-year-old girl was airlifted to Oakland following a severe fall Tuesday at the .

The Santa Rosa Press Democrat is reporting the child was running behind City Hall when she collided with another child, fell and lost consciousness.

The girl turned blue and remained unconscious. Family called 911 around 8 p.m. She was awake by the time paramedics arrived.

Still, the girl showed symptoms of injury, according to the P-D.

However the child was “subdued” and not quite herself, Sonoma Valley Fire Capt. Mike Bruno said.  Dispatch called for a REACH medical helicopter as a precautionary measure and the unit flew the child to the Oakland hospital.

The girl was treated and released at Oakland's Children's Hospital.
