Update: Highway 121 Re-opens After Head-On Collision Near Sonoma

Both lanes were closed after two-vehicle crash reported at 11:13 am.

A Sig-alert was issued after both directions of state Highway 121 near Sonoma were shut down Saturday afternoon following a head-on collision, according to a California Highway Patrol officer.

The two-car crash was reported at 11:13 a.m. near Napa Road. The alert was issued at 11:42 a.m., according to CHP Officer James Evans.

Both directions of the highway were closed with eastbound motorists being diverted onto Ramal Road and those heading west diverted onto Napa Road, Evans said.

The lanes were reported open at 12:55 p.m.

There was no information immediately available regarding any injuries or the vehicles, CHP told Patch at 3:52 p.m. No further information was expected to be available until Monday.
