Napa Road near Sonoma is expected to be open later this afternoon shortly after a car struck a power pole there and caught fire, starting a small grass fire, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at 3:12 p.m. near the corner of Napa St and Eighth Street in an unincorporated area just east of Sonoma, near Sonoma's Best country store.
The gold sedan caught fire and set some nearby brush on fire, prompting crews to shut down Napa Road while the fire was put out.
The fire was quickly contained and the road was expected to reopen by 5 p.m., the CHP said.
