PG&E Restores Power to Kenwood After Six Day Outage

Storm debris prevented timely repair, say PG&E representatives

Power was finally restored to Kenwood customers who'd been in the dark since Friday morning.

Four residences along Bristol Road lost power on at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 18, when storm debris dropped an electric wire. Just a few minutes later, power was cut to another 29 Kenwood residences at 10:32.

Both groups sat in the dark for nearly six days, as crews attempted to fix wires and clear debris for over , who'd lost power in the storm.

"Between the trees and down-wires and broken poles it just took longer to get customers online," said PG&E Spokesperson Brandi Ehlers.

By Wednesday afternoon, PG&E has restored power to all Kenwood residences following the storm.

The Kenwood customers six day black-out is one of the longest caused by this storm, said Ehlers.
