Friday, March 11

Minor Possessing Alcohol: Officers found a half-finished bottle of Sauza tequila on a boy, 15, who, according to police tests, had a blood alcohol level of .21. The boy said he had shoplifted the bottle from CVS, where surveillance tapes showed another SVHS student, 16, lifting the bottle and meeting up with his friend. Both students were issued citations for drinking alcohol under age, and referred to Youth and Family Services.

Saturday, March 12

Minor Posessing Alcohol: Police cited four youths in MacArthur Park, charging them with consumption of alcohol by a minor. Additionally, Thomas Kelly, 18, who police allege provided a bottle of Smirnoff orange vodka to the group, was charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

False Identification to a Peace Officer: Police stopped a woman driving a Volvo Wagon north on Broadway. When asked for identification, Jasmine Palmer, 32, a resident of Petaluma, provided a false name, and failed to produce a driver's licence. Items in the back of the car, including an air conditioning unit, tools and clothing were found to be stolen from residences in Petaluma, and Palmer's licence was suspended.

Monday, March 14

Credit Card Fraud: A 58-year-old resident of Glen Ellen reported that four false charges, ranging from $55 to $5200, were made on her Los Angeles Fire Union credit card on March 11. The card had not been stolen.

DUI: Police arrested Kevin Schnabel, a 40-year-old Boyes Hot Springs Resident, on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. Officers apprehended Schanbel in front of the Vallejo state park, where a preliminary alcohol screening placed his blood alcohol level at .17. Schnabel refused further tests and was booked into county jail.

Tuesday, March 15

Burglary: About $3,210 worth of tools were stolen out of the back of a truck parked on East Walnut Ave., including a skill saw, framing gun, band saw and an electric leaf blower.

Vandalism, Attempted Burglary: Someone threw a rock through a window at the Curt J. Morris law offices, on 370 West Napa Street.

Vandalism: Someone broke two clay flowerpots in front of Broadway Catering, at 601 Broadway. Additionally several newspaper racks were knocked over, in front of the Post Office, several doors down.

Battery: An argument led to a fist fight between two Sonoma Valley High School girls, which left one girl, 18, with a broken nose.  The other girl, 17, was cited with one charge of felony battery.

Minor in Possession of Alcohol: Administrators caught a 16-year-old SVHS student who'd been drinking from a bottle of Tequila at 9:30 a.m. His blood alcohol level placed at .089

Minor Possessing Marijuana: Administrators at Sonoma Valley High School found a 17-year-old resident of Boyes Hot Springs with a bag of marijuana in his jacket pocket. The boy said he was holding the bag for a friend.

Wednesday, March 16

DUI: Police arrested Mary Calleja, 25, who they saw exiting the parking lot of Blue Moon Saloon in a silver Toyota. An alcohol screening placed her blood alcohol level at .198. She was released on a citation.

Thursday, March 17

Theft: A digital camera, a radar detector and $100 in cash were stolen from a 65-year-old Sonoma woman's 2007 Honda pilot, while it was parked on the 400 block of Rosalee Drive.

Burglary: Almost $8,000 worth of appliances went missing from a Bank of America owned property on the 300 block of Fifth Street West, including a gas range, a refrigerator, a fountain and a microwave.
