Police "Minor Decoy" Operation Stings Two for Selling Drinks

La Casa and Annex Wine Bar employees cited for selling alcohol to minors

Friday night, while the Film Festival was in full swing, two popular local establishments,  were cited for serving alcohol to the minors.

The Sonoma Police Department, along with the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, conducted a "Minor Decoy Operation" in the city. Minors entered ABC licensed establishments and attempted to purchase alcohol, using their own valid driver's licenses.

The employees of La Casa Restaurant and Bar and Annex Wine Bar were issued misdemeanor citations for furnishing alcohol to minors. The establishments will be referred to the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control for administrative action.

This project is part of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control's Minor Decoy / Shoulder Tap Grant Project, funded by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
