Sixty-Two Firefighters Respond to Vegetation Fire West of Sonoma

The fire at 18200 Carriger Road was reported at 2:26 p.m. and was contained at 3:40 p.m., spokeswoman Suzanne Blankenship said.

Cal Fire responded to a 10-acre vegetation fire in rural Sonoma County west of Sonoma this afternoon.

Sixty-two firefighters from Cal Fire, Sonoma Valley, Eldridge, Bennett Valley, Schell-Vista, Glen Ellen and Kenwood fire agencies responded to the blaze.

No structures were destroyed and there were no injuries, Blankenship said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
