Kenwood Man Rescued After Fall at Sugarloaf
The 68-year-old man was airlifted out to a hospital Thursday after losing consciousness.

A 68-year-old Kenwood man was rescued by helicopter Thursday morning after he fell and lost consciousness while hiking at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park in Sonoma County, a sheriff's helicopter pilot reported.
The hiker fell at a peak called Gunsight Rock at around 11:30 a.m., pilot Paul Bradley said.
Henry 1, the sheriff's helicopter, responded to the scene. Authorities found the victim had fallen about 10 to 15 feet onto jagged rocks below the peak, Bradley said.
Several hikers in the area called 911 for help and tended to the victim until help arrived, Bradley said.
Helicopter crews released a 100-foot-long line to reach the hiker and then took him to a helicopter nearby which took him to a hospital.
The remote location would have taken ground personnel about 45 minutes to reach the victim, Bradley said.
