Dog Fight:  A women was walking her Husky on the 400 block of Brazil Street when a Yellow Lab lunged out of a home and tried to bite her dog around the neck. She said she kicked the dog, which bit her foot; two women who ran out of neighboring homes drove the dog back. The women sustained no injuries; police are attempting to cite the owner for ‘Dog at Large’ but have not been able to reach him.

Theft: Someone stole 10 security boxes, monitoring solar panels, from . Each is worth about $1,400.

Drunken Fighting: At 10:22 p.m. deputies were called to Blue Moon Saloon to break up a fight. In the bar, they found James Doyle, a Vineburg resident, who had started a fight with a 30-year-old Agua Caliente man. Doyle, 49, threw punches at the officers, who used a taser to subdue him. Doyle was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, violating probation and fighting in public. He was booked into Sonoma County Jail.

Saturday, March 3

DUI: Police spotted a Silver Nissan driving 40 mph in a 25 mph zone northbound on Broadway. They pulled over the driver, a 25-year-old Sonoma resident, who appeared intoxicated. She failed a field sobriety test and blew a .143 on a paz test. Breath tests at the police station placed her blood alcohol level at .13 and .12 percent. She was issued a citation for driving under the influence of alcohol and was released.

Sunday, March 4

Dog Bite: A women flagged down officers in the Plaza to report that a dog had bit her, causing a 1.5-inch wound on the back of her upper-leg. The 35-year-old Berkeley was crying, and was transported to by ambulance. The dog’s owner said the dog, a Border Collie and German Shepherd mix, was on leash and had lunged at the women; The owner suspected the walker had startled the usually placid dog.

Theft by Access: A 70-year-old Sonoma resident reported that someone had tried to purchase $1,500 worth of goods on his Home Depot account. The user’s purchase was denied.

Theft by Access Card: Someone purchased $900 worth of goods from the 76 gas station, using a Sonoma resident’s gas card.

Wednesday, March 7 

DUI: Police stopped a man driving a gold pickup on the 900 block of Fifth Street West. The driver, Michael Ferreria, who had his 15-year-old son in the car, appeared intoxicated. Ferreria, a 48-year-old Sonoma resident, blew a .163 on a breath test. He was charged with child endangerment, driving under the influence and violating his probation. He was booked into Sonoma County Jail.

DUI: A driver spotted a gold Mercedes on the 19,000 block of Hwy 12 driving erratically. The Good Samaritan called in the incident and started following the car, which attempted to turn into Sonoma Marketplace parking lot and instead crashed into the center median, popping a tire. Police determined that the driver was incapable of performing a field sobriety test; the El Verano resident, 78, blew a .29 on a breath test. She was cited for driving under the influenced of alcohol and released to her daughter.
