DUI: At 12:22 a.m. a patrolling deputy pulled over a white Chrysler 200 Approach, which veered through a four-way stop on Broadway and East Napa Street without slowing. The driver, Alejandro Cano-Davalos, 29, told the officer he’d drank two 12-oz Bud Lights, one at a bar and two at a friend’s house in Petaluma. The Santa Rosa man blew .16 and .17 on a blood-alcohol breath test and was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was released to a sober friend. The passenger, Elizar Carrillo, a 22-year-old Petaluma man stepped out of the vehicle, yelling and began banging his fists on the window of . He was charged with being drunk in public and was placed under arrest, booked into Sonoma County Jail.

Possession of a Controlled Substance: At 11:56 a.m. a patrolling officer spotted a van with false registration and pulled over Christopher Garcia, a 42-year-old Sonoma man. Garcia has an outstanding warrant for possession of stolen property. While searching the vehicle the officer found .5 grams of methamphetamine in Garcia’s sock, and a glass smoking-pipe in the cargo area of the van. Garcia was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, false registration. He was booked into Sonoma County Jail.

Saturday, Dec. 24

Public Intoxication: At 8:40 a.m. a resident of the 600 block of Oregon peeked outside their window and noticed boy defecating outside her home. She called police, describing the suspicious person as a young white male, 19 or 20-years-old, wearing a plaid shirt and walking a yellow pit bull. Police arrived on scene and found the man, Jesse Armstrong, a 25-year-old Boyes Hot Springs resident. He told police that he was in the area to do landscaping work, but he couldn’t remember where or when or for whom. Armstrong appeared disheveled and confused to police; he told officers he’d taken prescription drugs, including one Suboxone and four Valium pills in the morning. He was charged with one count of drunk in public and a probation violation and was booked into Sonoma County Jail.

Petty Theft:  A employee noticed a 15-year-old Agua Caliente girl, along with her 18-year-old boyfriend, grab items from the store’s shelf and try to leave without paying. The employee grabbed the girl, but lost the boy, identified as Tyler Boswell, 18. The girl possessed $49.46 worth of items without a receipt, and a package of Pall Mall Red cigarettes. She told police she didn’t know where Boswell was, or have a phone number for him. She was cited for petty theft, possession of cigarettes and giving false information to a police officer and released to Youth and Family Services. Police are currently seeking a warrant for Boswell.

Sunday, Dec. 26

Retail Burglaries: Someone broke into on Christmas Day, drilling a hole through a large piece of sheet rock to reach an empty office where a safe was stored. Along with the safe, the thief reportedly dragged out of the building, the person made off with a credit card scanner worth $500 and $1,850 in cash. Police are obtained a tennis shoe imprint at the scene.

Petty Theft from a Motor Vehicle: During the evening, someone broke into two unlocked vehicles parked on the 1000 block of Fryer Creek Drive, removing a $250 GPS system, and leaving the door of one car ajar.

Monday, Dec. 26

Petty Theft: Someone entered a car parked on the 600 block of Sherman Court during the evening of the Dec. 26, rifling through a glove box and making off with a maroon leather wallet with drivers license, credit card and debit card. After the incident, someone made several purchases on the card: including charges a Redbox charge at Lucky Supermarket and a charge at WalMart in Rohnert Park.

Petty Theft From a Motor Vehicle: Someone broke into blue Toyota parked on the 400 block of San Lorenzo Court, stealing $500 worth of goods.

Found Property:  A girl’s cruiser bike was found on Fryer Creek Drive, and turned into the Police Department.

Petty Theft from a Motor Vehicle: Another vehicle burglary occurred on 700 block Charles van Damme Way. Someone broke into a car, making off with an approximately $200 GPS, leaving the car’s trunk ajar.

Grand Theft from a Motor Vehicle: Someone broke into a Audu A-6 and an Audi Quattro, parked on the 900 block of Fryer Creek Drive, ransacking the glove boxes and making off with a tan leather briefcase with a laptop, a karaoke machine and a bag full of clothing, at an estimated loss of $1,240.

Grand Theft form a Motor Vehicle: Someone broke into a Honda parked at the 200 block of Wilking Way, making off with a Dell computer and blue laptop case.

Property Found: A Mountain bike was found on the 100 block of Manner Drive.

Wednesday, Dec. 28

Vandalism: A resident of the 0 block of Fifth Street West reported that vandals had egged his car, and his son’s car. The man found the gas cover to his vehicle standing open and items moved around the car, and does not know if someone siphoned gas from the vehicle. His car has been egged several times in the last few weeks, but he did not report the prior egging.

Thursday, Dec. 29

Auto Burglary: A man reported that a laptop and Blackberry cell phone were stolen from the trunk of his Ford Fusion, sometime since Dec. 26.  There was no damage made to the vehicle, and the owner is unsure if he left his car doors open at any point.
