Two Suspects Arrested Following El Verano Home Invasion

After holding several victims at gunpoint Friday, three men escaped in an orange VW Bug.

Two men have been arrested following a burglary and home invasion in El Verano.

At 1:33 p.m. Friday, deputies responded after receiving a report of three men, armed with guns, leaving a house near Boyes Blvd and Railroad Ave. in El Verano. The men drove off in an orange VW Bug, according to initial reports.

On the 18,000 block of Park Tree Lane, deputies located several victims who said they'd been bound with zip ties and robbed of cash and marijuana at gunpoint. They described the gunmen as "three to four" Hispanic males.

About half an hour later, CHP officers located an orange VW Bug driving westbound on Bennett Valley Road in Santa Rosa, and stopped it near the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. 

Inside the vehicle officers found a large quantity of marijuana and three loaded handguns.

Deputies arrested Noel Salbalsa Garcia 36 yrs and Ricardo Martin Marin-Casillas 35 yrs.  Both suspects are from Mexico, but have been living in the Phoenix, Arizona. 

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Investigations unit responded and are continuing the investigation.  Detectives believe there may be one or more outstanding suspects at this time.
