Sonoma County Sheriff's deputies discovered a female body, fully clothed and lying face down on the beach area below the Guerneville footbridge in Guerneville at about 9 a.m. Sunday, police said.
Deputies confirmed the woman was deceased and based upon the suspicious nature of the case called for detectives from the Sheriff's Office Violent Crimes unit and Crime Scene investigators to responded.
The victim is a white female, estimated to be in her 30's. There are no further details at this time and the identity of the woman is unknown was unknown.
