Gallian Says It's 'Incredible' To Be Elected

Laurie Gallian was previously appointed to Sonoma City Council. She and David Cook won the two available seats on the council in the Nov. 6 election.

Newly elected city councilwoman Laurie Gallian rode in a jeep in Wednesday's parade for the arrival of the Cost of Freedom Traveling Wall —a veterans memorial—in Sonoma.

At the Wall's destination, the Veteran's Memorial on First Street West, she talked to Patch about the important priorities she will continue to work on as a city council member.

Dressed in red, white and blue, Gallian was jubilant about her win on Nov. 6, which now gives her the elected mandate of city voters, after previously being appointed to the council.
