Notice: Fryer Creek Bike Path to Get a Makeover

Construction on the bike path project begins Friday, Oct. 21

[The following is a notice from the City of Sonoma notifying residents of the start of construction on the Fryer Creek bike path project – which will add a pedestrian and bicycle friendly bridge to mitigate congestion. .]

John Benward Company, Inc has been awarded the contract from the City of Sonoma to complete the repairs of the Fryer Creek Bike Path between West MacArthur and Leveroni Road.  Construction will begin Friday, October 21, 2011. 

Starting October 25, 2011 the bike path will be CLOSED between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday thru Friday to all pedestrian and bike traffic until project completion. The expected completion date is November 17, 2011.

Access to the bike path will be maintained after the hours listed above, but as with any construction project, caution is recommended.

During construction, please be aware of heavy equipment and construction personnel and follow instruction of the contractor’s flaggers and signs.  Noise levels may be increased during construction.
