Public Is Invited to Chateau Sonoma Study Session

The Planning Commission will host the session on the proposed hotel on Aug. 23.

The Planning Commission will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Aug. 23 to conduct a public study session on the Chateau Sonoma hotel application. This meeting will be in the Community meeting room at 177 First Street West.

A study session on the project had originally been scheduled for the Planning Commission meeting of July 12, but at the request of the applicant the item was postponed to August.  Due to scheduling conflicts, three members of the Planning Commission (Felder, Tippell and Heneveld) were not able to attend the July 12th meeting.

Because of the significance of the Chateau Sonoma proposal, staff and the applicants agreed that it would be preferable for all commissioners to be present for the initial study session, which also provides an opportunity for any interested members of the public to speak on the proposal.
