A reception honoring Alcaldes Les and Judy Vadasz will be held at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 31 at Vintage House, 264 First Street East.
The couple was chosen for the honorary mayor and mayoress positions by the Sonoma City Council in December. They have contributed to and been involved with at least 24 organizations in the city, including Sonoma Valley Hospital, Friends in Sonoma Helping (FISH), Meals on Wheels, Sonoma Ecology Center, Vintage House, La Luz, Sonoma Valley Museum of Art, Sonoma Mentoring Alliance and Sonoma Plein Air Association.
The public is invited to participate in the reception. There is no charge; however, donations of $10 are suggested and may be made at the door.
