Rep. Mike Thompson to Host Sept. 4 Town Hall

U.S. Representative for California's 5th congressional district will be taking questions on local, regional and national issues in his only scheduled town hall meeting during the congressional recess.

Congressman Mike Thompson (D-St. Helena) and Cotati Mayor Mark Landman are set to co-host a joint town hall meeting next Tuesday in Cotati, Thompson's lone scheduled town hall meeting during the current congressional recess.

The event is scheduled for Sept. 4 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Cotati Room, 201 W. Sierra Avenue behind City Hall and next to the police station.

Landman began hosting "Evening with the Mayor" events in April. At that first event, Landman discussed proposed changes to the so-called fast-food franchise formula, the cap on national retailers, the city’s economy and future of business in Cotati, truck traffic downtown and impacts on businesses and infrastructure.

Landman and Thompson will be taking questions on local, regional, and national issues.

What would you ask Landman and Thompson if given the chance? Let us know in the Comments below – we'll send in proposed questions for those who can't make to the town hall event on Sept. 4.
