Plan ahead for Labor Day.
If you're hoping to go about your normal activities some advanced planning is necessary. It's considered a federal holiday, so don't expect to file that planning permit, or conduct any city business today. Sonoma City Hall is closed, as is the Sonoma Valley Regional Library and the Post Office.
Sonoma County Transit is running on the Saturday schedule, and Golden Gate Transit is running on the holiday schedule.

For public transit:
- Golden Gate Transit bus will be running on its holiday schedule.
- The Golden Gate Ferry will be running on a limited and extended schedule in observance of the federal holiday, and in recognition of the Sausalito Art Festival, which is this weekend. Get the full schedule for Sept. 3-5 here.
- Sonoma County Transit will be running on their regular weekend schedule through Sunday. There will be no service offered Monday, Labor Day.
