This week we added nearly ten more volunteer signature gatherers, swelling the ranks to nearly 50 people. Not all volunteers can gather signatures every day; some do farmer's markets, some do their own or other neighborhoods, some gather names at retail locations. The more volunteers we have the faster the signatures add up...as it is we're adding many hundred signatures each week. Though we only need 1,100 signatures of voters in the City Sonoma to meet the legal requirement, we want to collect many more than that over the next three weeks. With enough volunteers we could probably collect the signatures of more than a majority of Sonoma's 6,700 registered voters! Now wouldn't that be fun?
