Bonjour! The Valley of the Moon Petanque Club presents it annual Bastille Day Celebration, The Grand Concours de Petanque, on Saturday, July 14th, 2012. This is a casual petanque tournament and fabulous luncheon with live accordian music. To play in the random triples tournament, you must register by 10:00 am ($5). Award-winning Chef Christine Piccin will again dazzle us with her menu. We start with an Amuse of Chilled Watermelon Mint Soup, followed by Basil Chicken, Shrimp & Veggie Skewers and Tomato Bread Salad with Creamy Basil Tarragon Vinaigrette paired with a glass of Ravenswood wine. Then comes the Cal-French Cheese Course with baguettes and Chocolate Mousse Profiterold Cake with Whipped Cream and Edible Flower Confetti. While we dine JD Limelight will be delighting us with French Cafe music. Tournament play is optional. Reservations are required for lunch.
