In September 2011, she began her career with Patch as a freelance contributor and recently has worked as a guest editor covering Culver City, Hollywood, and Marina del Rey. Karen graduated from Wellesley College with a Bachelor's Degree in English with honors and has a Master's Degree in Communication from Stanford University. Her journalism experience began in television news as an intern at WSMV-TV in Nashville, TN and WRC-TV in Washington, D.C.
